The final event of the 2018 San Diego region was held on 5/19/2018 at Lake San Vicente. The 2018 Anglers of the Year for the San Diego region are Todd Curry & Stuart Lee! Check out the points standings to see the full Anglers of the Year Standings. The Anglers of the Year title is decided by the best 5 events of the year.

Each exciting American Bass/Ranger Boats Team Classic's awards a new Ranger/Mercury/Lowrance boat package to the winning team. These events are invitation only events. Teams earn an invitation by qualifying in one of the many American Bass team regions. First place at each of the Team Classic's will receive a Ranger/Mercury boat package no matter the number of boats competing! The Team Classics feature a $200 basic entry fee (plus mandatory event fees) with a 100% payback of the entry fee to second place through the 20% of field. Examples; if there are 100 boats in the Team Classic, there would be $20,000 cash awarded to 2nd-20th places. If there are 80 boats in the Team Classic, there would be $16,000 cash awarded to 2nd16th places. The $200 entry is required, teams may also choose to enter additional options for a chance to win even more cash!

Taking First Place at the final event of the season at San Vicente was Stuart Lee of Spring Valley, CA and Todd Curry of El Cajon, CA. They had a great day on the water weighing in 5 Bass that weighed 17.62 lbs! Along with their 1st Place trophies they received $620.00 CASH! Congratulations on your victory! Todd is a member of the, Mattress Source, Daiwa, Graphite USA, Minn Kota Trolling Motors, and Props of San Diego teams.

Taking 2nd place at San Vicente / Main Ramp was the team of Dan Price and Joseph Menegos. They took second place by bringing 5 Bass to the scales that weighed 15.49lbs. They received $250.00 CASH and a pair of 2nd place plaques! Congrats on the runner-up spot at San Vicente!

The 3rd place team at the San Vicente tournament was Daniel Conner and Andy Morita. They weighed 5 Bass going 14.33lbs! Nice Going Daniel and Andy!

In 4th place we had the team of Donald Riese Sr. and Donald Riese Jr. They weighed in 5 Bass for a total weight of 12.07lbs. Great job at San Vicente!

Rounding out the top 5 at San Vicente on 5/19/2018 was the team of Josh Preman and Gary Preman. They're 5 Bass weighing 10.95lbs. earned them this top 5 finish! They received the 5th Place Plaques.

The biggest Bass of the day was weighed in by the team of Dan Price & Joseph Menegos. Their big fish weighed 5.85 pounds!

This region offers American Bass angler's some of the best fishing in the West! To qualify from any region, you need to compete in a minimum of 5 events. If you fish at least 6 events in one season you are qualified to fish all three American Bass/Ranger Boats Team Classics! Jump in next season if you missed out this season.
