Event #5 on the 2018 Big Valley region trail was held on 5/12/2018 at Pine Flat Lake. With just one more event left this season, the race for Anglers of the Year is at its peak! Check out the points standings to see which teams are at the top of the heap! The Anglers of the Year title is decided by the best 5 events of the year. Even if you haven't started fishing, it's not too late to jump into the season. American Bass offers a Traveler's region. American Bass Traveler's Region allows you to fish and earn points by fishing in two or more regions. Build you own schedule and qualify for one of the exciting American Bass/Ranger Boats Team Classic's!
Each exciting American Bass/Ranger Boats Team Classic awards a new Ranger/Mercury boat package to the winning team. These events are invitation events. Teams earn an invitation by qualifying in one of the many American Bass team regions. The Team Classics feature a $100 basic entry fee with a 100% payback of the entry fee to second place through the 20% of field. Examples; if there are 100 boats in the Team Classic, there would be $10,000 cash awarded to 2nd-20th places. If there are 80 boats in the Team Classic, there would be $8,000 cash awarded to 2nd16th places. First place will receive the Ranger/Mercury boat package no matter the number of boats competing! The $100 entry is required, teams may also choose to enter additional options for a chance to win even more cash! If you have never qualified, you need to make this your year!

The top team at Pine Flat Lake was Del Bishop M. of Paso Robles, CA and Darrin Bishop of Atascadero, CA. They had a great day on the water weighing in 5 Bass that weighed 12.65 lbs! Along with their 1st Place trophies they received $880.00 CASH! Congratulations on your victory! Darrin is a member of the Tackle Warehouse teams.
The runner-up spot at Pine Flat was the team of Tim Wells and Jeff D'Alessandro. They took second place by bringing 5 Bass to the scales that weighed 11.8lbs. They received $605.00CASH and a pair of 2nd place plaques! Tim is a member of the Advantage Fishing Line, Valley Rod & Gun, McDonald Worms, and Coast to Coast Seal Coating teams. Congrats on the great finish at Pine Flat Lake/Island Park Ramp!
Finishing 3rd at the 5/12/2018 Pine Flat Lake tournament was the team Tom Loya and John Albidrez. They weighed 5 Bass going 11.37 lbs! John is a member of the Pro Worms teams. Nice Going Tom and John!
In 4th place we had Randy Mathus and Richard Mayo. They weighed in 5 Bass for a total weight of 10.11 lbs. Great job at Pine Flat Lake/Island Park Ramp!
Rounding out the top 5 at Pine Flat Lake on was the team of George Rosales and Ray Grammer. They're 5 Bass weighing 8.58 lbs. earned them this top 5 finish! They received 5th Place Plaques for their 5th Place finish.
The biggest Bass of the day was weighed in by the team of Tim Wells & Jeff D'Alessandro. Their big fish weighed 4.36 pounds!
This region offers American Bass angler's great spotted bass and largemouth bass fishing! To qualify from any region, you need to compete in a minimum of 5 events. Jump in at the next tournament if you missed this event. All of you Traveler's players should take a look at some of the events in this region, it will be a lot of fun!
